Aerospace Education, sUAS, Ground Team, and Color Guard Tracks
The training academy will be an immersive education and training experience. Each track will have a different focus:
- Aerospace Education: be immersed in STEM activities, with a heavy focus on aviation. Cadets may earn the cadet sUAS badge and work towards the basic Cadet STEM Badge.
- sUAS: be immersed in sUAS, with the opportunity to complete either the sUAS Technician or Mission Pilots Badge, with a SAREX on Thursday, integrating all aspects of training.
- Ground Team: be immersed in Ground Search and Rescue, with some integration with drones. The GTM3 badge may be earned, and Seniors who already have GTM3 may earn GTL.
- Color Guard: Learn the basics of indoor and outdoor color guard activities, including parade marching, posting colors indoors and outdoors, and retiring the colors. May complete ES qualifications of MRO and MSA.
The event starts on Monday at 1000 and finishes on Thursday around 1530. Early arrival on Sunday is available, and late departure is an option for Friday.
Only $200 for cadets, $225 for seniors, and $150 for staff on Eventbrite, or email lfife@hc.cap.gov for unit funding directly to the event.
CAP uniform (ABUs for cadets, and seniors in CAP Polo/Gray Slacks or ABUs) is required for the event. All meals, lodging, and supplies provided.
